Poor
guy, he gets to see the worst part of it. Everything the video showed is true
but it is not the whole truth. He must have been to the worst places. I am from
Cebu but I don't chose the places he went to. The thing with most of the expats in the
country is that, they forgot that they have already left the comfort of their
countries to keep their job and receive more bucks and expect that the
Philippines is another America or Europe or whatever. Little did he know that
the complaints he got are the same problems that we Filipinos suffer from and
THERE IS that constant effort to solve it. Sadly though, its the POLITICS here
that's putting barrier to a solution and yet, everything is not as simple as ABC. It
is relative and complicated. MILF doesn't simply equates to terrorism (although
I am not in favor of the group). Prostitution? With all his all-knowing
perspective: he doesn't have a clue as to it's market - it is mostly the expats
who flocks the red light districts and mostly its them...who picks up lady boys.
I've been hearing these stuff from the expats I worked with.
On the flip side -
it's a wake up call for all of us. We can't allow to be degraded by some
foreigner...its about time that we keep our acts together and be the people that we truly are. POVERTY is a lame excuse to live a life of garbage. We should make
it our stepping stone to greatness!!
